FTII Entrance Examination – exclusively for 2023 batch of TV Wing’s PG Certificate Courses

Candidates desirous of seeking admission to the PG Certificate Courses of TV Wing of Film & Television Institute of India, Pune (FTII), a leading educational institutions in the art & craft of film making and television production, need to go through a multi-stage selection process which includes Written Test, Orientation and Interview which is called the “FTII Entrance Examination – exclusively for 2023 batch of TV Wing’s PG Certificate Courses”

The Written Test is of three hours’ duration consisting of objective and subjective questions and will be conducted in 05 cities across India. Based on the score of the candidates in Written Test, candidates will be shortlisted for the further stages of the selection process i.e., Orientation and Interview. Thereafter, on successful accomplishment of all the requisites, candidates will be enrolled in their full time regular programmes.

FTII Entrance Examination – exclusively for 2023 batch of TV Wing’s PG Certificate Courses” is a pre-requisite for admission to all the courses mentioned below of FTII’s TV Wing;

All above courses are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The above stated FTII Entrance Examination will be conducted in 07 cities across India on Sunday 11th Feb. 2024, 10 am to 1 pm.

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

The minimum educational qualification to be eligible to apply for all offered courses is Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, in any discipline.

Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s degree and awaiting results, can also apply for all PG Certificate courses.

However, it may be noted that such candidates, if selected, are allowed to join the course, only if they submit a mark sheet, passing certificate, on or before 10th March 2024, from the Controller of Examinations /Principal /Registrar or any other equivalent competent authority of the University /Institution /College, stating that the candidate has appeared for his/ her graduation examination and he/she is a graduate/ Passed.

RESERVATIONS:
In each course, 15% of the seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC), 7.5% for Scheduled Tribe (ST), 27% for Other Backward Classes candidates belonging to the “Non-Creamy” layer (OBC-NCL), and 10% for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) as Gen-EWS. Further, 5% of total seats are reserved on horizontal basis for Persons with benchmark Disabilities.

APPLICATION FEES:
1. Women applicants and applicants belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) need to pay Rs 600/- as application fee. All other applicants need to pay Rs 2,000/- as application fee.
2. Application fee is to be paid through SB Collect portal against “FTII Entrance Examination – TV Wing 2023 Batch”.
3. Remittance in cash, demand draft, postal order, cheque etc. will not be accepted.
4. Applications without the prescribed fee OR fee received after due date would not be considered and summarily rejected. No request for consideration or any representation against such rejection would be entertained.
5. Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstance nor can the fee be held in reserve for any other selection or course etc.

HOW TO PAY APPLICATION FEES:
1. Click on the link https://www.onlinesbi.sbi/sbicollect/icollecthome.htm OR visit www.onlinesbi.sbi and further click on “SB Collect” which is at the top left, vertically 06th from left to right.
2. In search option type FTII Fee Account, click & proceed.
3. Under Payment Category, click on “FTII Entrance Examination – TV Wing 2023 Batch”
4. Fill in all the asked details like Name, Date of Birth, email id, mobile no., and select the course you wish to apply.
5. Based on your category & gender, select application fee as either Rs 2,000/- or Rs 600/-. For details, please see prospectus and Information Bulletin.
6. Under Enter Your Details, select “Individual”
7. Once again enter your Date of Birth, Mobile no. and email id.
8. Finally, follow the remaining procedure as directed and make payment accordingly.
9. Please complete the entire procedure preferably in 03 minutes else SB collect portal may display pop up of “session expired” and applicant then need to then repeat entire process.
11. Check the transaction status. If it shows “successful”, it may be considered as payment is done. However, if it shows “pending”, reconfirm the status after 2 to 3 hours, pending transaction may fail and the amount is reverted back to the user account. It is advised to carry-out payment at the earliest without waiting for the due date.
12. Once payment is done, please note “SB collect Reference Number i.e., DU number” (mentioned in payment confirmation receipt). This may be required for future reference as well as it is required while filling the online application form (which needs to be filled separately).
13. Digitally store the receipt of payment. This can be carried out in one of the following ways;

(i) by taking printout of receipt of payment, scan & save it

(ii) by taking screenshot of payment (if using mobile) or print screen (if using computer)

(iii) by simply taking a photograph from mobile. This digitally stored receipt is also required to be uploaded while filling the online application form.

HOW TO APPLY:
1. Application will be received online only. Applicants should fill the online application form at https://forms.gle/qXctAxfXvkyyTSa59. Other means of application or offline application will be rejected.
2. Applicants are advised to pay application fee before they commence to submit online application form.
3. Applicants should fill up the application form after ensuring that they fulfill all the essential qualifications and other requirements for the course they are applying for.
4. Applicants must carefully fill all the required details in the online application form and wherever asked/ required, upload scanned copies of necessary documents.
5. Applicants must upload:
(i) Documents/ certificates in support of all the claims made by them in the application like, Required Qualification(s), Category (if any), Disability (if any) or any other information, separately against each claim in pdf file in such a way that the file size does not exceed 1 MB per document and is legible when a printout taken. For that purpose, the applicant may scan the documents/ certificates in 200 dpi grey scale.
(ii) It is mandatory to upload graduation certificate for the candidates. Those who have not yet received their graduation certificate/provisional certificate from the college/university are required to submit a course completion certificate duly signed by the competent authority or self-declaration in the given format by the applicant.

Eligibility:
A candidate seeking admission to the Ph.D. Programme leading to the award of a degree of Doctor of Philosophy must possess at least one of the following eligibility criteria:

  1. Master’s degree in Life Sciences in Medical Microbiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Pharmacy, Genetics, Physiology, Human Anatomy, Biotechnology, Psychology, Nutrition etc. provided that the concerned subject is in relation to the specialties available in NIMS.
  2. MD-Ayurvedic Medicine (eligible for Ph.D. in Pharmacology only)
  3. Master of Physiotherapy (MPT)
    1. Note: All the applicants to Ph.D. Should have 60% aggregate marks in the above subjects. In case a candidate has got above 59.5%, it will be rounded off to 60%.
  4. Medical Graduates (MBBS) and Post Graduates in MD/MS/DNB/MD(Ayurvedic) are eligible irrespective of percentage of marks.

Duration of the Ph.D. Programme:

  1. The duration of the course will be the time period from the date of registration to submission of the thesis.
  2. For the submission of thesis, the minimum period is 3 years and maximum period shall not exceed 5 years. However, further extension, for not more than 3 years, may be given upon recommendation by the Doctoral Committee, explaining the need for extension.

Application Procedure

  1. The Online Application Registration, Notification and instructions to fill the application is available at NIMS website: nims.edu.in. from 11.00 AM on 15-07-2019 till 5.00 PM of 31-07-2019 and last date for submission of hard copy of application is 02-08-2019.

NOTE: The candidates are advised to take a print out of the prospectus/instructions to fill the online application from the NIMS website: www.nims.edu.in before proceeding to fill the online application form.

    1. A candidate shall apply for Ph.D. Programme in one subject only.
    2. Incomplete and hand-written application forms are liable to be rejected.
    3. An amount of Rs.1500/- (Rupees one thousand and five hundred only) towards application fee should be remitted through payment gateway provided using a credit card or a debit card issued by the banks in India or through Internet banking.
    4. The hard copy of the online application duly signed shall be submitted to The Associate Dean, Academic-2, 2nd floor, Old OPD Block, Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad -500 082 on or before 5.00 PM of 02-08-2019 along with all the documents mentioned at annexure-I, failing which the online application shall not be considered for entrance examination/admission. Application fee is non-refundable even if the application is summarily rejected.
  1. The applications received after the prescribed date and time shall not be considered. The Institute will not be responsible for non-receipt of hard copy of online application or delay in postal transit.
  2. An acknowledgement will be sent to the respective candidate by SMS / e-mail or to the login account after the Application is processed.
  3. The applications of in-service candidates should be forwarded by the appointing authority. The in-service candidates are required to submit Service Certificate and No Objection Certificate in original from the Appointing Authority at the time of submission of application.
  4. The in-service candidates should have a minimum of five years regular service. Applications should be forwarded by the Head of the Institution.
  5. All candidates who are employees in the State of Telangana and Central Government under takings, Public Sector Corporations, Local Bodies, Universities and other similar quasi-public Institutions should submit their hard copy of the applications along with No Objection Certificate from the appointing authority. The selected candidates should submit relieving order along with original certificates at the time of admission.
  6. Any candidate of reserved category, if at all, failed to submit the certificate of social status along with application, his/her candidature will be assumed as ‘Open Category (OC)’.
  7. In case of insufficient number of candidates, NIMS reserves right to cancel the entrance examination/admissions.
  8. The eligible NIMS faculty/non-faculty can also apply to the Ph.D. Programme with prior written approval from the Director and Head of the Department. The candidate has to submit a no objection certificate (NOC) from the appointing authority.
  9. All applications for the Ph.D. programme will be scrutinized for eligibility as per the admission rules to the Ph.D. programme.
  10. Candidates fulfilling the minimum requisite qualifications and eligibility shall be permitted to undertake the entrance examination and interview before the selection committee.

Method of Selection

  1. Selection will be made based on the performance of the candidates at aptitude interview.
  2. Merit List based on marks obtained in aptitude interview will be displayed on NIMS website

Fee Structure:

  1. Annual Tuition Fee – Rs.10,000/-
  2. Thesis evaluation fee – Rs.20,000/-(to be paid along with submission of thesis)
  3. Public Defence and Viva Conduct fee – Rs.30,000/- (to be paid before fixing the viva date).

Stipend: No-stipend from the Institute funds will be paid to the candidate during the PhD programme. However, if student works under any project, the Project Sponsor will pay the stipend to students
