Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad was established in the year 1961 and declared as Institute of National Importance by the Government of India vide NIT Act 2007. School of Management Studies, since its inception in the year 1996, has been striving to achieve the goal of the Institute to provide world class management education and a holistic experience of values to its students in a technical ambience. The Department is ranked among top 50 Business Schools of the Country by Outlook MDRA Survey 2012.
ELIGIBILITY: a) The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology/Science or an equivalent degree with Mathematics/Economics as one of the subjects in the qualifying examination, with at least 60% marks or CPI 6.5 [50% or CPI 5.5 in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA) (this may also referred to as Persons with Disability (PWD) category)].
Note: This Institute uses CAT Percentile for short-listing the candidates for its full time two years MBA programme. IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.
Applicants must have appeared in CAT -2013.

Sub-Category reservation will be applicable as per Government of India rules.
Reservation: As per the Government of India requirements, 15% of the seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC) and 7.5% for Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates, 27% of the seats are reserved for Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates belonging to the “non-creamy” layer.
Application Procedure: Applicants are required to submit their application through on-line application system using the portal www.academics/mnnit.ac.in/fresh_mba only.’No other means of application shall be acceptable.
Selection Procedure: Candidates will be short listed for Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD and PI) on the basis of CAT Percentile. The MBA Admission Committee may decide the minimum CAT Percentile as short listing criteria for different categories. Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) will be conducted at the Institute. Final selection will be made on the basis of CAT percentile and marks obtained in Group Discussion & Personal Interview.
