“GRADUATE ENGINEERS COURSE ON “OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF TRANSMISSION AND DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM”
(Duration: 26 Weeks)
WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN? The Indian Power Sector is growing very fast. The amendment in the Indian Electricity Act, have opened private sector participation in the Transmission & Distribution of Power. It has further created a large demand for the trained persons in electrical Utilities. The main objective of the course is to create a technically trained manpower readily available for recruitment to the power companies in the area of Transmission & Distribution of Electrical Power and allied industries.
On successful completion of this course, the Graduate Electrical Engineers shall be having good job opportunities and preference in employment with various power companies.
About the course: The course is of 26 weeks duration being conducted by this institute. The course covers complete operation and maintenance of Transmission & Distribution System as per CEA regulations 2010 under Electricity Act 2003.
Eligibility: B.E / B. Tech. or equivalent in Electrical/ Electrical and Electronics / Electrical & Power. Note: Core branch is Electrical Engineering.
Age: For non sponsored candidates: maximum 27 years; as on 01-09-2012. Age relaxation in case of reserved category is as per Govt. Of India norms. No age limit for sponsored candidates.
Selection Criteria: Degree Percentage of marks in BE / B. Tech. or equivalent examination.
Total Seats: 50 (Fifty). Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PH as per Govt.Of India. norms.25% seats are reserved for sponsored candidates. In case seats are falling vacant in sponsored category, same shall be filled up by non-sponsored candidates.
Placement: NPTI trained engineers of this course have been placed through campus placement in companies. Viz. NDPL, KPTL, REL, Torrent Power Ltd; Jyoti Structure Ltd; Tata Power Ltd., Black & Veatch, AREVAT&D, ICOMM Tele, Abhijit Group, ESSAR Power, GMR Group, Sterlite Group, Aravali Infra Power Ltd., BS TransComm Ltd., Adani Group,Suzlon Ltd., Enercon Ltd., Bajaj Energy Pvt. Ltd. Etc.
How to Apply: Application form as per Annexure “A” along with the check list for documents- Annexure “B” & undertaking as per Annexure “C”( for sponsored candidates only) is to be downloaded from website www.nptinagpur.com & www.npti.in. Filled in application form along with attested copies of testimonials as per check list for documents with a Demand Draft of Rs. 500/- in favor of “NPTI, Nagpur” payable at “Nagpur”, should reach The Principal Director (address given below) latest by 23/07/2012 with one 5″x 10″ self addressed envelope. Envelope containing the application form and other documents should be subscribe “Application For T & D Course- 2012”.
Fees: –
1) Rs. 134832/-(Rs.120,000/-+Service tax@12.36%) (in two equal installment) for non-sponsored candidates. First installment at the time of counseling for confirmation of admission.
2) Rs.168540/-(Rs.1,50,000/-+Service tax@12.36%) for sponsored candidates (in one installment) at the time of counseling for confirmation of admission.
There is no fee concession for any category of candidates.
Lodging/ Boarding: Facilities available in the hostel on extra payment ( If available). Separate hostel for girls.
