The University Grants Commission, New Delhi has conferred the status of “University with Potential for Excellence” (UPE) to Osmania University, Hyderabad. According to action Plan of UPE document approved by the UGC, New Delhi certain identified interdisciplinary areas of research activities have Project Fellowships.
The Applications are invited for Project Fellowship under UPE-CART-ES Geology, in the prescribed form available at UPE-CART-ES Office, I Floor, Principal’s Office, University College of Scinece, Osmania University, Hyderabad-500 007 from the eligible candidates of the respective disciplines.
Qualifications: M.Sc., Geology/Applied Geology; with a minimum of 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST)
Title of the Project: “Crustal Evolution, Resource Potential and Management in parts of North- Eastern Dharwar Craton: A Geoscientific Approach”. Name of the Fellowship: UPE-CART-ES- Project Fellowship.
Total Number of Fellowship: (1) One
Nature of Assistance: Fellowship Rs. 14.000 per month (HRA is not applicable for the candidates selected under this scheme)
Tenure of Fellowship: Tenable with the Project (03 – 05 Years)
Other Conditions of Fellowship: The Research Fellow, with the consent of the Guide/Head of the Department, may assist the University in its academic work, including tutorials, evaluation of test papers, laboratory demonstration, supervision of field work, library activities like group seminars, and symposia, provided such work is not likely to hinder the research program. The total amount of time to be spent in such activities should not exceed 10 hours a week.
Cancellation of Fellowship: Fellowship is liable to cancellation in case of i) Misconduct, ii) Unsatisfactory progress of research work, or iii) Fellow is found ineligible later.
Duly filled Prescribed Application form with relevant enclosures along with the Demand Draft of Rs. 100/- (Open Category) and Rs. 50/- (Reserved Category) (Non Refundable) of any nationalized bank drawn in favor of Registrar, Osmania University, Hyderabad should reach The Co-ordinator. UPE-CART-ES, 1st Floor, Principal Office, UCS, on or before 15th October 2013.
